Certificate of Competence in Basic Outbreak Rapid Response

This short course on Basic Outbreak Rapid Response covers the foundational level (Tier-1) SG FETP training under the One Health framework for public health workforce development. This course will introduce knowledge and tools related to field epidemiology and rapid response methods. Besides technical skills, it also provides insights and hones interpersonal skills to resolve challenges during outbreak management. The course is designed to meet the challenging future of public health and field epidemiology practice amidst the backdrop of pandemics. The learning objectives are for participants to: 1. Apply field epidemiologic methods to undertake rapid response on the ground 2. Assist in surveillance and outbreak investigation using a systematic approach 3. Acquire skills to effect preventive and preparedness actions This programme is jointly organized with National Centre for Infectious Diseases. Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Competence in Basic Outbreak Rapid Response if they achieve at least 75% attendance (i.e., attend 4 out of 5 days of the programme) and successfully complete the test at the end of the course.
