Food Security (Competence)

'This course provides a basic understanding of the concept and measurement of food security. Key issues to be addressed include the definitions and dimensions of food security and the measurement of various food security indicators across global, national, sub-national and household levels. The course also gives an overview of the trends, current status and future projections of food security in developed and developing countries. It also discusses the nature and sources of vulnerability to chronic and seasonal food insecurity across gender, race, ethnicity, age and occupation.'
