The Art of Critical Thinking: A Hands On Approach

Commissioned by Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the four-day programme, The Art of Critical Thinking: A Hands On Approach aims to provide students with an overview of the fundamental concepts of critical thinking and equip them with the skills to critically assess conflicting claims. At the end of the course, participants should: • Gain practical knowledge and tools that will help them make rigorous arguments from quantitative data and draw logical conclusions. • Learn and apply techniques to evaluate conflicting claims on the basis of evidence. • Critically review and analyse information to form opinions and make decisions. • Be exposed to a university learning environment.
