'The course offers a comprehensive range of advanced topics relevant to the food and nutrition industry in the area of human nutrition. To be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Human Nutrition, a student must satisfactorily complete two FST-coded courses (8 Us) from the cluster of courses for Nutrition within a three-year period with a minimum GPA of 2.00.Cluster of courses for Nutrition:- FST5301 Evidence-Based Functional Foods (4 Us)- FST5301A Scientific Principles of Nutraceuticals (4 Us)- FST5302 Food, Nutrition and Health (4 Us)- FST5303 Modern Human Nutrition (4 Us)- FST5303A Science in Clinical Nutrition (4 Us)Students are expected to acquire the following key knowledge and capabilities:-Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of advanced topics in food science sub-disciplines such as functional foods and human nutrition in relation to food and health;-Enhance advanced problem solving skills by applying the knowledge gained to come up with innovative solutions to problems related to or garnered from the local food and nutrition industry; -Sharpen critical thinking and inquiry mind on reading scholarly articles in food and nutrition;-Improve communication skills.'
