Robotic Systems

Angelie Borromeo Quiapo

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge in areas like understanding autonomous behaviour types in robotics, robotics sensory operations, understanding robotics mobility, and robotic path planning and fuzzy behaviors in robotics. There will be workshops and assessment to reinforce participants’ learning as part of the course. This course differs from other robotics courses as the emphasis is placed on practical and hands-on learning. This is to ensure that the contents taught have relevance to real-life applications. The main highlights of this course include: (a) having the opportunity to physically configure and manipulate a ROS-enabled OpenManipulator-X robotic arm (as depicted below), and (b) having to physically configure sensory systems from scratch for this robotic arm. This course is part of the Artificial Intelligence series and Graduate Certificate in Intelligent Robotic Systems Series offered by NUS-ISS.
