The Chinese Script: History and Issues (Competence)

'Learners will study the history, formation and evolution of Chinese characters, as well as their forms and structures. Learners will be equipped with skills to analyse the historical evolutions of different Chinese characters. They will be able to understand the diffiulties of young children or non-Chinese in learning Chinese characters and thus design appropriate teaching materials for their students to learn Chinese characters effectively.'
