Graduate Certificate in Community-based Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care (Competence)

The Graduate Certificate in Community-based Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care is a short 8-unit (U) certificate programme that caters to the continuing education needs of young pharmacists, who have newly started or are aspiring to embark on advanced level of work involving direct care of older persons who require long-term management of chronic diseases in community-based care settings. Students are allowed up to 3 years to complete this programme which is available in the part-time mode. The graduate certificate courses will introduce specialized knowledge and skills in geriatric pharmacotherapy, interdisciplinary management of older patients and communication required of pharmacists at advanced level of pharmacy practice in collaborative direct patient care services alongside other healthcare professionals.
