Participants will examine a wide variety of placemaking stakeholders, recognise the roles they play and how these stakeholders influence engagement significantly. Participants will also analyse the stakeholder contributions, associated challenges, and critique their value to the community.
In the course, participants will explore industry case studies from stakeholders’ perspectives, with emphasis on current positive outcomes and pitfalls to avoid. They will also share insights and practices learned from the case studies.
Participants will learn:
- How to identify the government agencies, businesses and communities that impact placemaking and society
- To examine various types of placemaking mechanisms and frameworks and their respective features, deliverables and contributions to stakeholder engagement
- To study positive placemaking influences and outcomes in Singapore and the region, and to discern any issues of concern as well as opportunities for improvement
- To study cases and identify examples of new directions or trends that will shape, improve and enhance placemaking.
