NUS Information Technology Internship (Summer 2022)

Completed an internship at NUS Information Technology (May to Jul 2022). Worked on the Elevating User Experience Through UX-Web Design Enhancement projects described below: (1) New IT Care Website Design NUS IT Care provides contact information on its website so that NUS staff and students are able to reach it when they need IT services. With the launch of more services in IT Care, the website needs to be revamped to provide more information through a simple yet fuss-free user experience. Over the course of the internship, the intern has: - Worked with the NUS IT Care team to design a new modernized user-centric IT Care website using Design Thinking. - Understood users’ requirements, proposed a design solution, created a digital prototype, validated with usability tests and developed the website using WordPress (Elementor website builder plugin). - Created design assets where needed. (2) Digital Trainer Digital Trainer is an in-house developed e-learning platform for internal use. While the application serves its purpose, the usability needs to be enhanced with user anticipatory design to provide better a user experience and achieve more effective learning objectives. Over the course of the internship, the intern has: - Reviewed current design through Design Thinking. - Proposed UX/UI design with anticipatory design elements to allow users to learn at ease. - Created a digital prototype and validated the design. - Worked with developers to ensure design is feasible.
