The Future Leaders Programme, offered by NUS in collaboration with Great Learning, takes a structured approach towards making an effective leader by focusing on professional growth, self-awareness and tangible skills that you can apply to real-world situations. In this programme participants learn to identify and evaluate People Management and Self Development skills from the lens of people and employee behavior and interaction. Participants are introduced to frameworks & toolkits and get hands-on practice in applying them to real-world situations. The assignments and activities ensure first-hand experience of the impact of the concepts being discussed and will help translate them into tangible skills that are focused on professional growth. The programme starts with a self-awareness workshop where participants get individual feedback about their own leadership style and areas of improvement. Participants then work with others in small groups, reflecting and testing each concept and seeing it play out in real life. The goal is to help participants increase their emotional intelligence, recognize biases, read the early signs of emerging conflicts, understand people’s motivations, put structure to these challenges and find practical solutions using frameworks and tools.
