IoT Sensor Networks (Competence)

'Sensor networks feature prominently in the Internet ofthings (IoT). This course covers the principles of wirelesssensor networks that enables visibility into the physicalprocesses happening around us. Pertinent issues such asenergy management and distributed informationprocessing leading to applications such as event detectionwill be covered. The coupled relationship between wirelesssensor network performance, information processing, e.g.at edge computing nodes, and networking protocols,together with energy considerations will be emphasized.'
