'This course aims at introducing basic concepts and wellestablishednumerical methods that are very related to thecomputing foundation of data science and analytics. Theemphasis is on the tight integration of numericalalgorithms, implementation in industrial programminglanguage, and examination on practical examples drawnfrom various disciplines related to data science. Majortopics include: computer arithmetic, matrix multiplication,numerical methods for solving linear systems, leastsquares method, interpolation, concrete implementationsin industrial program language, and sample applicationsrelated to data science.'
