This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver value-based care, emphasising patient outcomes over volume of services. Participants will learn to assess and improve care quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction while considering cost-effectiveness, benchmarking and programme evaluation. It aims to equip participants with the skills to design strategies for delivering high-value care in their practice settings, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare system sustainability. At the end of the 3-day course, participants were able to:
1. Understand how to incentivise providers to deliver value-based care and encourage patients to demand value-based care
2. Describe the roles of:
Health technology assessment in supporting value-based care
Programme evaluation in supporting value-based care
3. Describe the use of data analytics to reduce waste in the health system
4. Formulate strategies to optimise resource utilisation for change management to encourage value-based care
