NUS Information Technology Internship (ATAP 2024)

Completed an internship at NUS Information Technology (Jan to Aug 2024).

Worked on the IT Care Suite: The All-in-One Desktop Experience for IT Assistance project described below:

IT Care is NUS’s IT support provider and each day, many students and staff come to us for technical assistance. To ensure quality and efficient resolution of the issues, we never stop improving and look for ways to reduce our time spent on repetitive, manual tasks and workflow. The objective of this internship is to provide the intern with a hands-on learning experience in desktop application development and cloud integration, leading to the creation of a super app.

This project entails the creation of a comprehensive cross-platform desktop application designed to streamline IT support and user interaction. This application will incorporate a range of functionalities, including seamless communication with a chatbot, the ability to raise service requests, access a repository of knowledge articles, receive real-time notifications, and potentially leverage self-healing capabilities. The application will be integrated with the company's existing AWS cloud architecture, ensuring smooth data flow and interaction with various cloud services.

Over the course of the internship, the intern has:
- Gained practical skills in UI/UX design, application development, problem-solving, and cloud integration using AWS services
