With global warming, the impact of heat on the health, safety and productivity of heat-exposed occupations is a growing concern. This one-day workshop is designed to equip workplace personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills to design heat mitigation programmes and implement strategies to maximise workplace health, safety and productivity of heat-exposed personnel under their charge.
Participants will gain relevant knowledge and skills in the areas of fundamentals of thermal physiology, risk factors for exertional heat stroke, occupational heat management strategies and engage in case study discussions. This workshop should equip personnel who are responsible for the management and supervision of workers involved in physical activities under heat-exposed conditions.
