Introduction to Professional Videography: From Prep to Shoot

This course focuses on the production phases of pre-production and shoot, exploring industry contexts and examples to practice working in teams as well as individually to understand principles of storytelling in context with professional production phase execution. Learning Objectives: • Insights on pre-production and production phases • Industry-focuses case studies and learning objective • Create stories using proven professional storytelling techniques • project work and peer exchange Requirements: Prior knowledge required. This course is not covering editing. It can be taken individually, yet in addition, the designated editing course may also be taken. Access to (D) SLR camera for every participant required; access to microphone recommended but not required; if participants don't own one they can attend if they are aware that they then follow along in theory only. Theory-based make-up tasks can be provided for participants who do not have gear access but want to participate to apply learning in the future, this needs to be communicated to NUS in advance.
