Structural Analysis (Competence)

'This course covers the fundamentals of structuralanalysis. Students will learn idealization ofstructural components, materials, loads andsupports, concepts of statical redundancy,determinacy and stability, energy theorems,analysis of trusses, beams and frames. The secondpart of the course will teach students the methodsand principles of advanced structural analysis, withemphasis on matrix methods of linear structuralanalysis, influence line analysis and approximatelateral load analysis. Students will also familiarizethemselves with software for stress anddeformation analysis of typical civil engineeringstructures. The course is compulsory for civilengineering undergraduate students without whichhe will not be qualified to perform his task asrespectable civil engineer.'
