Fundamentals of Design For Safety

Recipients have completed the Fundamentals of Design for Safety (FoDfS) course. They have achieved the following course objectives: 1. Explain the duties under the WSH (Design for Safety) Regulations 2015 2. Identify common design risks that can affect the safety and health of construction and maintenance workers 3. Differentiate between DfS and operational risk assessment 4. Evaluate design risks based on severity, likelihood, risk priority number, and risk matrix 5. Identify legislation, industry standards, guidelines, and norms relevant to DfS 6. Formulate and critique different design alternatives based on the hierarchy of control
